A Muslim (Arabic: ?????? ?) Is a person who follows or practices Islam, the monotheistic religion of Ibrahim. Muslims consider the Quran, their holy book, to be the word word of God as revealed to the prophet of Islam and Muhammad's message. The majority of Muslims also follow the teachings and practices of Muhammad (sunnah) as recorded in the traditional account ( hadith ). "Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "surrender" (to God).

Muslim beliefs include: that God (Arabic: ???? ? All? H ) is immortal, transcendent and truly one ( tawhid ); that God is incommensurable, independent and neither childbirth nor born; that Islam is the full and universal version of the primordial faith that has been expressed before through many prophets including Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, and Jesus; that previous messages and revelations have been partially or corrupted over time ( tahrif ) and that the Qur'an is the last unchanging revelation of God (the Final Agreement).

The religious practices of Muslims are mentioned in the Five Pillars of Islam: the declaration of faith ( shahadah ), daily prayer (praying), fasting during Ramadan ( sawm ), alms ( zakat ), and pilgrimage to Mecca ( hajj ) at least once in a lifetime.

This is a statement usually spoken in Arabic: l? "il? ha? ill? -ll? hu mu? ammadun ras? lu-ll? h ( ???????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????? God. "

In Sunni Islam, the creed have two parts: la ilaha illa'llah (there is no god but God), and Muhammadun the apostle of Allah (Muhammad is the messenger of God) sometimes referred to as the first shahada and the second syahada . The first statement of the creed is also known as tahl? L .

In Shia Islam, the shahada also has a third part, a phrase about Ali, the first Shia Imam and the fourth Rashid caliph of Sunni Islam: ????? ????? ???? ( wa? al? yyun wal? yyu-ll? h ), which translates to "Ali is the guardian of God.
