party pheromones is a social event attended by singles, in an attempt to find their partner through sniffing pieces of anonymous clothing. The concept of Pheromone Party was created by interactive developer and artist Judith Prays. He initially applied this concept in Brooklyn in 2010. Participants at these parties were told to sleep with t-shirts for three days in a row. Once collected, clothing is placed in individual pockets to be kissed by single people. If one finds the smell pleasant, they are introduced to the owner.
The science behind the party is based on pheromones, which are believed to trigger a romantic response in humans.
