Minnie Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character created by Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney. He and Mickey Mouse were first drawn by Iwerks in 1928. The comic strip "The Gleam" (published January 19 - May 2, 1942) by Merrill De Maris and Floyd Gottfredson first gave his full name as Minerva Mouse , although this is rarely used.
The strip comic strip "Mr. Slicker and Egg Robbers" (published September 22 - December 26, 1930) introduced his father Marcus Mouse and his unnamed mother, both farmers. The same story features a photo of Minnie's uncle, Milton Mouse, with his family and his grandparents Marshal Mouse and Matilda Mouse. His most famous relative, however, remains his uncle, Mortimer Mouse and his twin nephew, Millie and Melody Mouse, although there is often one niece, Melody, appearing. In many appearances, Minnie served as Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, a close friend of Daisy Duck, and a friend to Clarabelle Cow.
On January 22, 2018, he joined the ranks of other animated celebrities (including Mickey Mouse) by accepting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 1928, Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks created Mickey Mouse to act as a substitute for the previous star of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. But Mickey could not fill the void alone. Among the few consistent characters that Oswald developed before moving to Universal Studios were the pursuit of an almost constant lover. So for Mickey to have the opportunity to emulate his predecessor in flirting, one must replace Oswald's much love interest. This successor to Miss Rabbit, Miss Cottontail, Fanny, and an unnamed number of unnamed nurses and dancers is a Minnie Mouse.
Minnie is designed in the fashion of a "flapper" girl. The main outfit consists of a short flapper girl dress that often reveals underwear that is patched. In the 1929 cartoon The Karnival Kid, he also revealed that he wears black stockings that are also fashionable among the flapper girls. Her shoes are probably her most distinctive outfit. For the comedic effect, he wore an oversized heeled pump that was too big for his legs. His heel is often out of his shoes, and he even lost his shoes entirely at The Gallopin 'Gaucho. As she walks or dances, the clip from her big pump usually sounds clear and often goes with the rhythm of music played in the background. Together with Mickey, he redesigned in 1940. His hat was replaced with a great bow, and the bow was added to his shoe as well. His eyes are also given in more detail. Throughout the forties and fifties, his appearance and personality became more conservative. Minnie almost always wears red or pink, but in her early appearance, she can be seen wearing a combination of blue, black or green (if not depicted in black and white).
Minnie's initial personality is funny, funny, playful and flirtatious. He often portrays an entertainer like a dancer or musician who Mickey is trying to win affection. Part of the comedy of these early shorts was the different success rates Mickey had in seducing Minnie. Unlike cartoons later after redesign, Minnie often becomes the girl in distress that Mickey tries to save. He also wears a lot of slapstick and rubber rubber hose jokes. During the thirties, Minnie and Mickey's relationship became more and more solid and they eventually became stable partners.
Minnie first appeared on the Crazy Planes . Minnie was invited to join Mickey on the first flight of his plane. He accepted the invitation but not his request for a kiss in the middle of the flight. Mickey eventually forces Minnie into a kiss but this only results in his parachute getting off the plane. This first film describes Minnie as somewhat resistant to the potential affection of a potential girlfriend and is able to escape from his grasp.
Their debut, however, featured a couple already familiar with each other. The next film that features them is The Gallopin 'Gaucho . The film is the second of the series to be produced, but the third will be released, and was released on December 30, 1928. We found Minnie working at Cantina Argentina, a bar and restaurant set up in Pampas Argentina. He did Tango for Mickey the gaucho and Black Pete the villain. Both play with him but the latter intends to kidnap him while the first obliges rescue the girls in the trouble of the criminals. All three characters act as the first foreigners introduced to each other.
But it's their third cartoon that forms a definite early look and a good personality from Mickey and Minnie, as well as Pete. Steamboat Willie , is the third short series produced but was first released on November 18, 1928. Pete is featured as Captain of Steamship, Mickey as one crew and Minnie as their single passenger. The first two anthropomorphic mice starred in sound films and spent most of the duration playing music for the song "Turkey on Straw".

Minnie Yoo-Hoo
The next appearance can be more significant. Mickey's Follies (June 26, 1929), featuring the first performance of the song "Minnie Yoo-Hoo". "The person they call little Mickey Mouse " for the first time speaks to the audience to explain that he has "Have a lover" "" Not fat or thin "and proudly stated that" He is my little Minnie Mouse. "Mickey then goes on to explain his reaction to Minnie's call. This song firmly establishes Mickey and Minnie as a couple and reveals the importance of Minnie to her male partner.
Damsel in distress
His last appearance for this year was at Wild Waves, brought by waves into the ocean. He panicked and seemed to start drowning. Mickey uses a rowboat to rescue her and returns her to the beach but Minnie still looks shaken from the experience. Mickey started singing "Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep," a maritime ballad, in a real effort to cheer her up. Minnie cheered and the tip was short. This is the second time Minnie is placed in danger and then saved by his new boyfriend. It will not be the last.
In fact, this is the case with subsequent appearances on The Cactus Kid (April 12, 1930). As the title implies a short intended as a parody of a Western film, but is considered more or less a remake of The Gallopin 'Gaucho is set in Mexico, not Argentina. Minnie returns to act as a local dancer kidnapped by Peg-Leg Pedro (Black Pete in his first appearance with a leg-peg). Mickey again comes to the rescue. Short is considered significant because it is the last short featuring Mickey and Minnie to be animated by Ub Iwerks.
The Shindig (July 11, 1930) featuring Minnie joining Mickey, Horace, and Clarabelle in a barn dance. Among them, Clarabelle seems to be the real star. Directed by Burt Gillett include another fun entry in this series, proving that production can take place without Iwerks. This is arguably the first time Minnie has been defeated by a female star.
In The Fire Fighters (August 6, 1930) Minnie is trapped in the hotel during a fire. He spent a short duration in mortal danger but was rescued by firefighters under Chief Mickey Mouse. Horace Horsecollar was among the firefighters. An unnamed cow in the background may be Clarabelle making a cameo. The short music, right, the song "There Will Be a Hot Time at the Night of the Old Town".
The next entry in the series is considered curious: The Gorilla Mystery (October 1, 1930). A short start with Beppo Gorilla escaping from the zoo. Mickey studied it and panicked. He called Minnie to warn him about the dangerous gorillas roaming around. Minnie did not care and played the tune on her piano so Mickey heard over the phone and knew she was not scared. His songs are distracted by his scream and Mickey rushes to his house to save him. Meanwhile, Beppo has wrapped Minnie with a rope and held his hostage. Mickey faces the gorilla and once again rescues the girl in distress. The short end with Minnie and Mickey together wrap gorillas on the rope. Modern audiences have commented on the elements of slavery that appear in Beppo's brief and mysterious motivation. Note that the theme of kidnapping by a gorilla was present here three years before the film King Kong in 1933.
Introduction to pets
In The Picnic , (November 14, 1930) Minnie introduces her boyfriend to his new pet dog, Rover. This is actually Pluto making his first appearance as an individual character. Two unnamed dog guard dogs that looked very similar to her previously appeared on The Chain Gang (August 18, 1930) featuring Mickey jailed in prison without Minnie at his side. Otherwise, the short feature of a typical picnic trip is harassed by a jungle animal and brought to an early age by a sudden rain.
Minnie's last appearance during this year was Pioneer Days (December 10, 1930). Short featuring Minnie and her partner as a settler pioneer heading to Old West America drove a closed carriage on a wagon train. They were surprisingly attacked by Native Americans on their way, plots stock Western films at the time. While their colleagues either experienced scalping or running for their lives, Minnie was captured by the attackers. Mickey tried to save her just to catch her own. In the reversal of their usual roles, Minnie escapes from her captors and rescues her partner. They were then dressed as US Army troops. Their appearance is just enough to make the whole tribe run to the hill. The Mouse pair stood triumphantly at the end. The brief has been criticized for its unflattering portrayal of Native Americans as animal predators. The end has been edited in a recent look to describe "braves" that are subject to cowardice.
In some shorts, comics and on some episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Minnie has a black and white kitten named Figaro, which comes from the Disney animated feature Pinocchio .
Waning years
During the second half of the thirties, Minnie did not often appear in Mickey cartoons. This is mainly due to the growing popularity of the new sidekicks Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Pluto, whose appearances in Mickey cartoons have more or less replaced Minnie's role. Minnie's appearance in the Mickey cartoon became less, but he had several major roles in some of Pluto and Figaro cartoons during the 1940s. Minnie made some sort of comeback in the 1980s when she was reintroduced at Mickey's Christmas Carol and then got her main role in Totally Minnie.
